Image to Midjourney prompt
Drop a picture and get a prompt written the way Midjourney reads it: short descriptive phrases, the most important first, then the flags. Paste it straight into Discord or the web app.
How your Midjourney prompt is written
Flags are set for you
The aspect ratio comes from your image, and --style raw or --stylize are added when the look calls for them. Things to avoid go in a --no list.
Order matters
Midjourney gives more weight to what comes first. Subject and style lead, details and texture follow.
Tune one part with weights
Prompt X-ray lets you push or soften one element with Midjourney's ::2 weight syntax without rewriting the rest.
Example Midjourney prompt

Midjourney prompt questions
How is this different from the Midjourney /describe command?
/describe gives you four loose suggestions inside Midjourney. PromptXray gives you one precise prompt with flags, plus a breakdown of subject, lighting, lens and palette you can edit, and the same image as prompts for Flux, Nano Banana and Stable Diffusion.
Can I use the prompt with a style reference?
Yes. Paste the prompt and add your own --sref link or code at the end. The prompt describes the content and look in words, so both work together.
Will Midjourney recreate my image exactly?
No prompt gives a pixel match. You get the same subject, framing, light and mood, and Midjourney adds its own variation on top.
